ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FL, September 12, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Neva "Lynne" Brackett of Lynne Brackett, M.S., L.M.H.C., Counseling Psychology has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in mental health counseling.

Ms. Brackett has spent 25 years in private practice. She offers counseling services to clients who are facing issues relating to anxiety, death and grief, and also counsels couples. In addition, she handles administrative tasks, insurance and marketing initiatives; she also maintains a Web page. A passion for helping people, particularly those in need of grief counseling, has led Ms. Brackett down a path that has enabled her to assist people in achieving optimal mental health.

Ms. Brackett earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Central Florida and a Master of Science in counseling psychology from Southeastern University. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and holds CSIM certification. A member of the American Mental Health Counselors Association, she formerly served as a board member of the Orlando chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Ms. Brackett attributes her success to her persistence and passion for her work.

She became involved in her profession after working, when she was 12 years old, as a nanny for a couple who were social workers; she was drawn to the work that they did and decided that she would pursue a similar career path. In addition to maintaining her private practice, Ms. Brackett has trained counselors in Ukraine on a volunteer basis. In the future, she plans to continue counseling clients and to go on more international mission trips.
