Jennifer Ferri, owner and operator of Title Junction, has several educational seminars lined up this spring. She will attend a seminar provided by Old Republic National Title Insurance Company on the 2006 Policy and Endorsements that were recently approved for use in the state of Florida and Fort Myers. Title insurance forms have been standardized and now have better coverage for both owners and lenders.

A second course will cover the new 2010 FAR/BAR contract and related forms. FAR/BAR contracts are contracts that have been approved by the Florida Association of Realtors (FAR) and the Florida Bar Association (BAR). The new 2010 contracts include revisions to the previous 'As Is' contract, as well as several new riders. The FAR/BAR is the most commonly used residential real estate contract form in Florida.

Ferri will wrap up her trainings with a course covering escrow funds. By enrolling in continuing education courses, she hopes to be able to share her knowledge with clients and broaden their understanding of the title insurance industry.

"I'm always interested in taking new courses and keeping up with current laws, policies and trends in the industry. I think you have to do that in order to be a responsive service provider for your clients. One of our goals as a company is to provide educational information for our clients; by learning that information firsthand myself, I am better equipped to explain the ins and outs of title insurance or new real estate laws and policies.
